For the most consistent and attractive installation, it is best for the "spring line" heights to match. See the examples below of the elliptical shapes and the segment shapes set up with uniform spring lines. This is a visual point the eye will pick up and if these vary too much, can really create an architecturally "incorrect" appearance!
